The Club Repeaters


The club maintains two repeaters on the "Little Florida Mountain" at an elevation of 6300 feet.

The 2 meter repeater has a frequency of 146.820, minus offset and no PL tone. The repeater is a Vertex-Standard VXR-5000. It is controlled by a  MMC RC-1000 controller. It has the club's call, W5DAR on the ID.

The 70cm repeater has a frequency of 449.475 with a PL tone of 77 hz. The repeater is a Vertex-Standard VXR-5000. It is controlled by a MMC RC-1000 controller. The repeater was donated to the DARC by an area ham operator, and it has his call, KA6RT.

The club also has a second repeater sight, on the "Tres Hermanes Mountain" located about 13 miles north of the Mexican Border, or about 20 miles south of Deming alongside State Road 11.  The 2 meter repeater operates on 145.43, minus offset, with an 88.5 hz pl. The club call sign is on the repeater, followed by the letters "COL" (standing for Columbus).
